I take 400mg: 150mg in the morning and afternoon and a 100mg before
bed. Never keeps me awake. I know that is one the side effects but I
never experienced it.

Hey Ally,

I started off with Wellbutrin ES that's 300 mg, but then my PA added
Effexor 75 mg 2 daily.
That was too much for me, so we dropped the Wellbutrin. It took me a
couple days to get off it.  But I was told to take the Wellbutrin in am
only when I was still taking it.

Hope this helps,
eileen

That's funny because I used to take Effexor but went off it to go on to
Wellbutrin. I asked for the change because it has the side effect of
taking away the craving of cigarettes. I was able to quit smoking when
I went on it. I asked my Dr if I should only take it in the morning and
she said it doesn't matter if it isn't effecting my sleep. It doesn't
so I spread it out thru-out the day. But then... I can go to sleep
right after drinking a cup of coffee so I think my system is operating
a little differently. The only thing that was keeping me awake was the
ribavirin and when I started taking that earlier in the day, that
problem was solved as well.
