Hey all,

It's now been about a week since I "checked out", and I think I've
calmed down enough to consider checking back in.  After all, I'm the
one whose dealt with everything life can throw at you, and I'm still
here.  Why should I run away now?

I know I'm neurotic (people tell me I just like to worry), but I've
never thought of myself as paranoid, until now.  Maybe it's a
consequence of therapy, maybe it's a result of not realising the
benefits yet, and then again, maybe my expectations are/were too high.

I'm getting old.  There, I said it.  And with my blood disorder, I
have a fear of dieing young (it's the family history).  And everyone's
out to get me, or a piece of me.  My wife, my mom, my boss, my family,
and I can't keep up, can't keep everyone happy.  So I come here,
seeking refuge, enjoying the company of others experiencing the same
things.  I value everyone here more than you know.

So forgive me my neuroses, and my paranoia, and my sexual hang-ups
(another sensitive area).  I'm just doing the best I can.

So I'll be here, lurking, and sending everyone kind thoughts.
