He had his surgery to insert the shunt yesterday morning. All went very well, he was in surgery for about 2 hours. They made three incisions....one behind his right ear, another on the back of his shoulder, and the third lower on his back. He's in intensive care today but was hungry right away after the procedure and had some soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. He was taken out of intensive care yesterday. Although he had no interest in food, it appears he's doing well overall.
