It's 3:30 and the Prednisone is showing it's ugly face again. <<SIGH>> (No
sleepy time for me)

I'd thought I'd drop a note and let some of you know that I've dropped my
gruesome chronicles of myself and decided to accentuate the positive. Let me
tell you that this is no easy task for me.

I was given some very tough, but positive feedback, from elmo and ghibelno.
My problem manifested itself from my deep terror of relapsing again. My
first tx relapse was such a blow that I never really recovered. So when I
started this tx my chronicles were going to be used as a way of saying
"SEE!!! Damn it! I endured and suffered and the tx failed! It wasn't my
fault!"

Gosh. I failed even before I had begun. This was truly a bitter pill to
swallow. It took days for me to face the truth of that.

The gruesome slideshow of my weekly shots has been taken down and the site,
pictures, and anything else erased.

I took Friday off from work and spent the day dusting off all the things
that I like to do. I have an extensive flighsimulator cockpit that I'm
building under the stairs. There are a few pictures here:

I dusted it off, got it going, and plan to use it more often. I'm actively
engaged again in certifications in my field of work. (Computers). I've begun
to revisit my chores around the house. All these things were brought back
into the light for clear and plain focus. I'm just grateful this was pointed
out to me early in the tx.

To any of the new people, or new tx people, I want to apologize for being so
negative about this. Sides like mine are pretty rare. Most people handle the
tx quite well.

Enough sweetness for now. I'm sure in a couple hours I'll be back bitching
about aches and pains again.

(What the...? Now where the hell did that sore come from?)  :-)

Ok PT, now yer talking! Hang in there. Anything you can do to distract the
sides is a good thing. I watched a lot of movies, I think I watched Forrest
Gump about 50 times while on treatment.....

Awesome attitude, PT.  Think SVR and always remember you've got a whole lot
of people rooting for you.

Hooray!
Tx is a bitch, we all knew that it would be, best to accept the sides
and do your best to enjoy the pieces of life you can.

Good attitude indeed PT.

Nice job PT. Cool flight simulator. So you built that? I'd have never
thought of such a thing for a hobby. Putting it under the stairs is an
excellent idea. It reminds me of all the pretend games when I was a
kid....that space under the stairs could transform into lots of
things.! I agree with the diversion addittude. It's good to have toys
for a distraction. I made some cool art and music connections while on
Tx. through this group too. It made all the difference. I didn't have
an easy time of it either, but found that (for me) making art really
helped alot. It made life not so full of misery. Created a balance of
sorts.

hang in there,

Hey, it happens to EVERYONE.  If you could look back far enough, you
would see more than a few posts from me, that was the Riba talking, not me.

Puckertoe,
I can relate to what your saying.I did 39 week failed treatment. This is
my second go around and i cleared at week 12.I stopped the infergen
after about 1 month but i still wish i could do both interferons
because i can't believe the hcv has left my body after 26-29 years.Did
you relapse after going off tx or during? .......john

Hi john,

I relapsed after tx. When I took my first 4 week count it was up to 500. It
was undetectable at week 12.

Sorry to hear about your tx. That really sucks.
Do you plan on doiing any more tx?
