Hi Dort, happy birthday. What does ping mean? Is it a euphemism for
another word that has lots of other substitute words? I went to my
hep-c support group, but they must have had it at a different place. Do
you know if vertigo is a hep symptom? I'm not on treatment, and every
now and then my balence is way off. This morning I sat up in bed and
started to stand up but fell down instead. the room seemed more like on
a boat, and I had to stay in bed most of the day. Rattyrabbit

Hey Rattatat.....
Ping is kind of a way to single you out, let you know someone is wanting to
communicate with you specifically.
I am not sure about the vertigo being a symtom of hep c. I know it is when
on tx, cuz ya get a little weak when the blood counts drop a bit, and tx
causes the blood counts to drop...sometimes. I ended tx with a sinus
infection that felt just like the sides of tx. Do you have seasonal
allergies or anything like that? Ringing in the ears? Ears popping? You
might go to your doc and have them check, vertigo is not fun....well
sometimes it is if you want it to be...lol! Seriously if it continues I
would see your doc about it. Other than that you hanging in ok? Saw your
post about the ex....let us know when he is up and running on i-tunes.
Don't let him work you so hard!

Thanks Dortski, I don't know all the comp-group words yet. If you want
to hear samples, go to achemsrazor.wichitaguitar.com I took the pic of
him, but he needs a better one. and the samples don't do it justice.
He's already selling online and can be search-engined from google,
yahoo, msnbc,I think. also could enter in papajon halftoe. Yeah he has
a bunch of stuff and I'm a softy and going to get 4 rescue rats on
Sunday, that's probably too many, but my 2 need some company. I would
like to put the one male in with my dumbo ear girl, but I think there
has to be genes for dumbo ears on both sides to get dumbos. So with all
those new rats, plus being sick, I don't know how I can handle the
other too. Unless he is planning to give me some of the profits when it
really takes off. Men get used to ya doin whatever they can get ya to
do.

For what it's worth, the etymology of "ping" in this usage derives from sonar,
which sends out an audible "ping" and listens for returned reflections, and
following its similarly derived usage in networking parlance.
In usenet, it's a form of hailing person-to-person.
Often looked upon as gauche ;-)
