No. My insurance is a group fund put in by our employers (IBEW) Our
fund is low at the moment. Dental and eye benefits are temporary
suspended. I plan to get glasses as soon they reinstate my befits
BTW I am 44 and many people say that it is about time for my eyes to go
bad, but I feel (without any proof) that it was the treatment.

Ok, it's certainly in the range of possibilities, but without an actual exam,
you're winging it, and you're at that age that eyesight can change rather
dramatically.
I'm 50-something, and while I was always moderately nearsighted, my visual
acuity *really* went downhill in my 40s. I went through 3 prescription changes
in the last 13 years - before therapy. I need corrective lenses to read, and
to drive - the ends of my range of sight are quickly converging. But nothing
to do with IFN...

Presbyopia is a very common occurence at your age. Good possiblity it
has nothing to do with treatment.
Lens tends to harden with age and have trouble focusing. Maybe you just
need reading glasses.

Even before tx my eyes have been going down hill (farsighted). I'm f.cked if
I don't have some glasses around because I can't read a damn thing anymore.
Now I do have my expensive bi-focals, but I just buy cheap ones of different
strengths depending on what I'm doing. Kinda just keep some laying around
handy. It was about my early 40's when my eyes started to go south, I'm 50
now.

It is the worst thing about aging. I have about 15 pairs laying around
the house for hubby and me lol.

Terry- please even if you have to please seek an opthalmologist. The
lowest cost one I've found is Walmart- or if you have a triple A card
lenscrafters offers a deal that costs about the same as Walmart. There
are some serious problems you can encounter from treatment with the
eyes.
