Hi Mags, I use what is called a premium newsreader (newsreader.com) it's
9.95 a month with a 30 GB monthly limit which is really good if you are on
cable/broadband, T-1, T-3, etc. and like to download, movies, mp3's. Other
advantages, are my IP address (your computers address, not your email addy)
isn't logged (so someone can't do a traceback on the user) and Google
doesn't permit the viewing of the Binary Groups on Usenet. Which is where
most of the (really fun) cool stuff is. Usenet is actually very different
than the WWW. Also with most newsreaders the user can add X-face to posts
and read and post from both their NTTP server or a web based interface. And
the posts show almost instantly. I've noticed Google has been getting a
little better about the latter. Back when it was "My Deja" (anyone here
remember "My Deja"?) One could wait hours, even until the next day before
posts showed up. Then thank-goodness Google bought them out., and it's
getting better. But really it's the binary groups that appeal to me next to
support groups such as this one where one can search archives for a wealth
of helpful information, are the Binaries (alt.binaries.comp-graphics,
alt.binaries.photos.original, alt.binaries.photos.nude-art.moderated )(Ha
ha kidding about last one but it is out there:-)There are some newsreaders
out there that are cheaper, tera news is only a one time $3 sign-up fee,
when I first subscribed to this group, I used Tera, so if you noticed like
a name change or something like that (I really can't remember what it was)
it was because I switched to Newsreader.com. Tera and Supernews is ok, but
you post and read through Outlook, or whatever mail server you use. OK, now
on to your question (lol) when you open Google Groups, click on "HELP"
then look on the right side of the screen: "TOP FIVE GROUPS HELP QUESTIONS"
Click on number 4 it will take you to: http://tinyurl.com/c53hx "Any post
that contains the text "X-No-Archive:yes" in either the header or the first
line of the message (with no additional text included on that line) will be
displayed on Google Groups for only seven days and won’t be searchable
after it’s removed. " With newsreader I simply click a box, that says, "No
Archive?" It's simplified quite a bit. Newsreader.com is owned by Curt
Welch, he is a great guy and has an interior support group (It's a part of
Usenet, but only members can post there. If you need help they are right
there all the time to answer questions about posting.) Newsreader also
offers a free Demo, but I don't know if ASH-C is carried. You might want to
go to www.newsreader.com and give the demo a try. No, I don't get anything
for signing people up, or own any stock. I'm just really happy with it.
With Google you are getting about 1/2 of Usenet and your IP is being logged
each time. I forget where the web-site is, but it keeps track of how many
times each IP address posts and to what group. I'm not really comfortable
with that. Hey, sorry this is so long, for such a simple question, but it's
a great question and maybe the 411 will be able to help someone else also.
I hope.

I didn't see this discussed yet, so I'll add that the tx drugs often
cause changes in intraocular pressure and visual acuity. It's not a bad
thing to have your eyes checked, but getting a new prescription for
eyeglasses isn't usually recommended while on tx. Your eyesight will
change once again when you come off the meds.
I've got to think it's the interferon that causes this side effect. My
eyeballs felt like they were gonna explode when I was fully loaded with
both Infergen and Pegasys. :-OO

It ain't. They (VA liver klinik) told me "Mid Febuary" So I'm going to have
to call them and rattle some cages. I imagine they are just swamped. My
normal 6 mo. monitoring appt comes up very soon with my reg, va dr. So I'll
ask him too. Along with getting the dent's adjusted and op. appt. One thing
though I've been feeling really good lately. Maybe it's the almost 8 months
daily 6 gram Maitake and green tea program 've been taking??? There sure
isn't enough time in the day though. Right now on my way up to work on our
roof before this next storm blows in tomorrow.
"(Ah, ah) Oh, no, don't let the rain come down
(Ah, ah) Oh, no, don't let the rain come down
(Ah, ah) Oh, no, don't let the rain come down
My roof's got a hole in it and I might drown
Oh, yes, my roof's got a hole in it and I might drown
There was a crooked man and he had a crooked smile
Had a crooked sixpence and he walked a crooked mile
Had a crooked cat and he had a crooked mouse
They all lived together in a crooked little house"
You have a great day Mags (-:
