As a cat lover *and* a dog lover, I can assure you that there is a world of difference between the species, especially in the ways that they express loyalty and intelligence, but one is not superior to the other in any way. If midget pigs were more popular for pets, I would have compared a cat's behaviour to that of a porky. Two different species.
