Warning Foul Language!

So Mags and Dort: You never knew a hair day could be so bad did ya? Well
Dort you snapped right out of it. That was good to see, and you sure
cheered me up yesterday too.  Thank you kindly, I needed that :) Good on
ya for sharing your research, I'm impressed.

Magma you're sounding pretty snarly.  Is cool whip man ok?  Don't bite his
head off.  Grit your teeth baby - worry about the crowns later.

Mags, you asked about my sides.  I restarted tx in mid May.  It was hell
because I had already been through 12 weeks of it and flopped.  By mid
August I started coming out of the hole.  So that's 3 months of really bad
sides after the restart, but the Ifn dose was lowered for a few weeks.  The
first thing that eased up was the friggin anxiety that had me chasing my
tail 24 hours a day.  That just gets better every day ;)  I'm a fast
learner. I never sleep well because I never have. It's my curse.  My
whites counts dropped to 2.4, mostly because of the neutrophils. I started
Neupogen in August and that seemed to help, or else it was just a
coincidence. My Lexapro dose of 15mg had stabilized by then.  I also got
some family stuff sorted out by sheer force of will. I come from a long
line of ostriches and I'm married to a Taurus.

The one thing I can't stress enough is that you eat enough protein and
that doesn't necessarily mean meat.  You're both smart enough to know
that. It's easy to forget about drinking plain water, but that's a biggy.
I'm still having a hell of a time with electrolytes and blood sugar. My fat
reserves are shot so this last 6 weeks will be really touchy. My red blood
cells are probably undetectable. Lol. Do everything you can to feed
yourselves, which is totally opposite to your conditioning. You can't go
longer that 2 or 3 hours without a few bites. Read my lips.

I've been working on a disability claim and revisiting all this. Thank god
I'm a scrupulous record-keeper (it's a Virgo thing). HINT: You must
understand your own records, however, if you can keep records the Fat
White Bureaucrats will claim  you are not disabled. Can you spell nausea?
Where the forms ask about your Daily Activities, write: f.ck You. My MRI
report isn't pretty. Brain zaps la la la. See also "brain shivers." More
about that later.

So gals, shift into the lowest possible gear if you want to get through
this. No more bulldozing straight up the hill.  Side-hill from here on.
Go with the slope. Bag the over-achiever syndrome and consider wearing a
bourka.

I've got 6 more weeks riding this sh.t a.s mule then I'm getting the hell
out of Dodge. Then I'm going to sit you all down around the campfire and
tell you a story about recovery.

Well later then,
slow mo kjoh
snarling and stripping gears

P.S. I'm learning a lot about how doctors keep records. f.ckers. I would
just seduce them all but they know too much about my sordid past
<groin>

Michael you there? Send me an email and I'll send you a file about
Effexor.

kj....that's a big 10/4 on the slow mo! I was doing very well with the
eating right, exercise and staying hydrated. It wasn't until...well we won't
go there...that the diet became questionable. My room mate would force me to
eat. I am not 100% phyically, but my mood has rebounded considerably since
stopping that which can not be named...lol!

I don't know what I did to make you feel better, but damn girl....I am very
happy that I did!

Now you have me worried about Magma.....she hasn't posted her weekly shot
update. Your post was very good and I appriciate the hell out of you taking
the time you do to help folks out. And even emailing me when I was out of
orbit. You remind me of a very close friend of mine, so I guess that may be
why it's easy to open up to you. Nah...I think it's easy for anyone to open
up to you...you have a very special gift for making people feel at ease and
to laugh. Not to mention arming us with knowledge! What amazes me is that
you are not having a day at the beach yourself, but somehow you always seem
cheerful, and that sense of humor is killer. It will serve you well on
getting yourself well! Ok...I am babbling....I am tending to do that a lot
lately...sorry!

I wouldn't mind that link on effexor if you didn't already send it to me....

I am looking forward to hearing good news about the state of your health.

From now on I am pretending I have one leg shorter than the other, that way
I will only be able to climb the hill in a slow steady direction!

I better close this before I start sounding bonkers...if I haven't already~

Thanks again slow mo kjoh!

It's on the way sweetie.  It's a Word file I swiped from the PDR CD.  Basic
info from the package insert, really.  You may already have it.

Oh my god Kath my head is hurting enough without laughing so hard.  You
are priceless.  You too Dort.  Cool Whip man laughed at your post but
he has me all figured out and makes me sit.  he handcuffs me to a chair
and says do nothing woman.  Funny you should mention bourka as I have
to cover my head at the pool and I use my bathing suit covers as a head
protector lol.  If its the last thing I do, I have to meet you guys
when we are better and can finish a sentence.  Puerta Vallarta is nice
in January save your pesos amigos and we should meet down here for a
holiday.

Oh Mags there you are!  You sound much better.  What a relief.  You haven't
been sneaking into the Farmacia have you? Whatever gets you through the
night - that's my motto.

Oh Miss Maggie...it sure is good to see your sassy a.s back here! I had a
gut feeling you were doing better and the line about cool whip man
handcuffing you to a chair spoke volumes...*wink*....did he say something
like..."I got yer headache right here baby!"....lol.

Just teasing....it's good to hear your are doing a bit better. Hope you
bound back from #18 to get out and enjoy the warm sun and surf before you go
back to winter in Canada. Even then, there is something really nice about
being home after you've been away. Do you still have a few days off before
you return to work? If so, relax....rest and don't worry about the mess!

I'd be game for any form of vacation! But one that included some friends
from here would be truly a deep and meaningful as well as a hell of a good
time! I will try to save up for it. In fact, when quit day comes, and when I
would normally plunk down 30 bucks for a carton of smokes, I will transfer
that amt to savings. It will be my freedom fund!

I've had pretty good luck with disability forms. Most important is to never
leave anything blank! N/A works fine. If you leave a question blank you
right into limbo forever!!! Also, don't fill it out yourself even if you
did. sign someone elses name to it, claiming inability to think coherently
or something to that effect!

I got ya Shawn.  Bureacratic limbo yes.  The bottomless void of the
Paperwork Reduction Act. I'm getting the hang of it, though I know it
will
take a while.  All the stuff I'm working up this time around is signed by
my husband.   Thanks.

Michael, I didn't have any problems getting off Effexor, cut the dosage
in half for 10 days and then quit.

>Michael,

I am so sorry for alarming you. Keep in mind that folks that post on groups
and stuff are really having problems with whatever.....there are many who do
not have issues.
For me, knowing why the zaps and other issues where happening helped
tremendously. I don't get the sh.t scared out of me when some weird pain or
sensation stops me in my tracks. It was the not knowing that made it so
scary.

I think part of it was due to even when I was taking it at the recommended
dose it was causing problems. My system just didn't like the stuff. I can't
take the stuff they put in nasal decongestants, I seem to be very sensitive
to epinephrine or any derivitives of it. Please bear with the spelling and
typos....spell check disappeared after a minor computer crash. I think my
situation was so bad because I may have had an alergic reaction. Since
stopping the rash has cleared. I still have my riba itch spots, but they are
nothing compared to most of your body covered with hives.

Hopefully others will come forward with their pleasant and non event
experiences with stopping effexor, like Dwight did.His post made me feel
better too!

I am so sorry if I caused you any worry. There is a very good chance that
when you do stop it will be a non event. Even if you do have a couple
issues, trust me, knowing why they are happening makes all the differance
between freaking out and just letting it happen knowing they will pass.

I hope this help....again I am sorry for the alarm.

Thank you kindly, Russ.  I knew you were there. I woke up with the Headache
from Hell today so it's hard to type with my eyes closed.

Five weeks left and there's a mortally wounded In a few days I'm gonna
line up all these empty Peg vials and blast them off the fence. Looking
over my shoulder backwards with a mirror.
