Whatsup Doc - 14 Jan 2006 16:42 GMT you were ridiculed about your poor dogs passing by Cody. But then you claimed you killed your neighbors cat? what of their loss? you play on both sides of the fence..... and after all the christian bashing you people are offended at a hajj joke.... turn me in to whomever. But you folks do have two standards..... most of you anyway! i figured after all the babbling about nonsense which has plagued this ng for a long time, I would get in a bit of bull too. Mainly to bring to a head the rampant ramblings of topics unrelated to hcv..... I feel I have made my point well. At my expense. Beat me. Whip me. But dont make me look cheap about this. What if Cody had been shut down when he was runnning amuck? He would not be here today! Do as you may. My points have been well made. Now I think HCV was the topic in here?!!!!! Randy

Cactus Jammies - 15 Jan 2006 23:05 GMT Kj I think you mean you pretty well know me.
The oblique "pathetic shitheel" may have surprised you however.
It's otherwise difficult for me to explain who Randy is according to what I've seen of him in the ash-c group.
But I won't go on about it, It's disturbed me enough as is. One Detail I notice all the time is I think he uses some kind of mental process that helps him determine if a person is part of a select gang posting to this newsgroup that are out to undermine all he holds f*cking holy.
Actually, in Ash-C you see that expressed quite often; -that there is some kind of existing nomenklatura (a board of directors, if you will) that badgers select malcontents and deny the validity of their ideas.
All a matter of perspective to be objective, as has been said.

> Speaks volumes, doesn't it? Back in the late 80's my lover got sick, then very sick, then very very sick, then very very very sick. The last year of the very very very I was in a care-partner's support group and it was a mixed group and the main benefit was that we could tell our horrifying stories and not have people run from the room. There was even humor in things that no one else would understand. But I didn't really get much support as much as I had an outlet.
When I started tx I found this group and had the most wonderful revelation: support from complete strangers who either are or have been in the same situation, no matter how different they are from me, no matter how different their background or experiences, helped me immensely. Just someone saying "I'm here, I'm listening, I understand" and then "you can do this, you can get through this" and "here are some things to try to help" made the difference between getting through it and not.
I try to explain it to people and they don't get it, but it's very real. I've never seen people who, when someone says "I need help", give it so generously. It's really an amazing thing.
Clearly, outside of that one thing, there's not a whole lot binding people here so that when people aren't working that context - giving or getting support - their agendas usually cause big flare-ups.
Life is full of things to learn from and an important lesson I've learned from my time here is that supporting someone is actually pretty easy and makes a huge difference.
When I was in high school (in the early 70') I had a psych teacher who was a complete hippy nutcase. Our first semester class was so much fun that she got approval for a second semester and at the beginning she started on a juice fast and just got weirder and weirder and weirder - but all in a good way. She would come up with the sayings and one of them was "Love as much as you can from wherever you are". That's the way I think about this group - no other qualifications.

I snipped this from a web page for you.....
<Learn to chill before your pet peeves get the best of your health. Hostility increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other adverse health events, a recent study revealed. Breathe deeply when your blood starts to boil to help blow off steam. Also, try hashing out your feelings with a trusted friend or taking a brisk walk around the block to diffuse hostile feelings before they take a toll on your health.
