Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, and happy and safe new years
celebration.

It's been a while since I posted, and I am glad to see most of the old
faces are still here.  I will be going to get my 3 month post TX PCR
this week, and so today just happened to be doing a little surfing.

When I started TX, my BCLD and his ARNP told me to hold off on the
milk thistle until AFTER TX was done. According to them, it was
"possible" it could interfere with TX.

Today I found this site,  http://www.herbalprovider.com

and was taking a look at this..

http://www.herbal-provider.com/liver-care-liv-52.html

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this, and knows whether
it is actually worth a sh.t.

Hi Michael,

Good to see ya, and Happy New Year!

About milkthistle, recent studies showed that it is of no help to the liver,
nor is it any harm, at least in the amounts used in the study. In other
words, it ain't worth sh.t! Sorry, but I haven't got a link.
Some doctors, of the opinion that it's harmless, will say, "Sure, go ahead
and take it," but I've never heard of a doctor prescribing/recommending it
for hep c or liver disease.

Thanks WS.   Glad to see you too.  Happy Happy to you.

This stuff is a little different.  I was just looking around, and
adding/deleting some of my bookmarks in my browser.

Then why do I feel less fatigued and lethargic if I take it? I mean the
difference is between needing a nap and not needing one. As you know, I
am not on treatment yet.

I feel the same way when I take my glyconutrients.  The only thing I can
figure is that it provides something essential I must be lacking.

Very unlikely. It's a nice collection of antioxidants and assorted herbs
with a very strenuous connection to liver function. If you believe in
it, it may make you feel better, but that doesn't mean your liver is
doing better. It just means you feel better. If that's worth $13.45 to
you...

And if you're on tx right now, you should not take anything, including
stuff as "harmless" as vitamin pills, without first consulting your doc.

Good to hear from you, Michael!  All the best to you on your upcoming
test.  Put on your game face when you go to the lab.  :-)

Hi Elmo,   I WILL put on my game face.  I've been feeling just great for
a while now (post tx), and I hope the Dragon is still gone.

I'm going to be VERY disappointed if it's back.   I'm keeping my
fingers crossed.
