Just started pegasys last Friday. BCLD recommended ibuprofen over tylenol but did say either was ok at recommended doses. Does one seem to work better than the other for tx aches and pains? Does one seem >to work better than the other for tx aches and pains? >Mark That's surprising. Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is an OTC pain med that isn't implicated as negatively affecting platelets. Ibuprophen is one of the more potent in this regard, the effects can last for many days. 500 mg of Tylenol taken an hour before my Friday nite peg shot and one the next morning was usually all I needed through therapy. At the worst I took another Sunday afternoon. Cheers /greyhackles I used Ibuprofen sparingly because, for me, it worked for aches and pains, especially headaches.
