Hello fellow heppers in hepperland. Well what an interesting week I have
had. It was Canadian Thanksgiving last weekend after shot 2. My hubby
baked some pumpkin pies to take to my daughters for dinner, as I was
extremely fatigued last week. I asked him to buy whipping cream. He comes
home with cool whip. I started to get a little antsy and he returned it to
the store and brought home edible oil in a can. Got very antsy and went a
little beserk over the fact that he couldnt read the words real whipped
cream. Had a big boo-hoo over friggin whipping cream and slept the rest of
the day.
The weak was hard as I was under dead line pressures working 12 hr days. I
basically went to work and came home and slept. Don't know how you guys out
there with kids etc. are doing this.
Big question - has anyone found a way to get the metal taste from the meds
out of your mouth. This is the biggest thing I hate about tx. Surely one
of you knows a food or mint that will work.
Took my shot at 5:30 last nite. Went to poker and could feel the effects by
the end of the night. Huge headache throughout the night and this morning.
Taking tylenol and will be taking it easy.
Had a check up at the clinic and my virus count is at 1 million and ast up
in th 90's - that was freaky since my origninal count was 562,000 and ast in
60's. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. They told me that if I am not
responding by a 2 log drop at week 12 they are taking me off the tx.

I had a hard time finding something I could eat while on tx. It was
because of the loss of appetite not the metal taste from the medicine. I
did have that bad taste when I had been on strong IV anibiotics a few
years ago. Nothing I did would get rid of that metal taste. It slowly
got better, but it took close to a year before food was back to tasting
normally. I did my best to find foods that were tolerable and ate them,
even if they weren't the healthyest. One of the foods I could eat were
the white powdered donuts and ice cream (though not at the same time)
which was really unhealthy for me considering I'm diabetic. It may take
some time, but your sense of taste will return and good luck finding
something you can tolerate until then.

I ate a lot of cold cereal and Hagan Dass ice cream. Lucky Charms for some
reason went down well, and easy to prepare, hahaha...

I had forgotten the suger free Popsicles, I went through boxes of them
while going through tx, as a matter of fact, I still am.

Getting emotional over whipped cream is pretty much par for the course
on tx. LOL. At least it didn't turn you suicidal.
Headline: WOMAN BLOWS HER BRAINS OUT BECAUSE HUBBY BRINGS HOME THE COOL
WHIP.
My hat's off to you for working so hard and having to take care of kids
too. I don't know how you manage. Hopefully, your hubby will pick up
the slack.
Altoids or that sort of candy should help. I'd recommend one without
sugar. You're going to have to find a way to start eating more to keep
some weight on as you're losing too much too fast.
Don't fret too much over the viral load. It takes a short time for
Pegasys to kick into high gear. It sounds reasonable to me that your
doc would take you off tx after 12 weeks if you didn't achieve, or come
close to it, the 2 log drop at week 12. It'd save you alot of misery
when you would have little chance for SVR.
Get some rest and EAT..EAT..EAT!!!

That's something that someone who's done treatment would understand
completely.

Dentyne Ice Spearment (they come in a flat pack) aren't too bad.

Can't predict 12-week test from where you are now. Just stick it out,
that's the best you can do.

Oh mags, that is priceless!
I had a bad attack of riba-rage at work one day. Mind you, I work in a
prison and being anything other than cool, even, and professional is
definitely not good. Well, they came around on inspection (military-style)
and I had a serious problem with the clothing and appearance of one of the
inmates. He actually wore panties and rolled the waistband down to
advertise himself. Quite repulsive. Anyway, along comes the poor C-Unit
manager and I started on this guy's clothing. Before I was done I was
shouting and shaking my finger in the unit manager's face and he was backing
down the hallway! The poor guy ran when he saw me coming for months, so I
couldn't even apologize. Needless to say, all the inmates thought Ms. White
was some kinda cool for backing the man down like that. Ms. White still
feels like an idiot.

My best riba rage episode got me arrested. It's not suggested to tell a
cop to go f.ck himself, then wrestle and punch him. I made it all the
way across town in my soda truck before they pulled me over, dragged me
out and shoved my face in the pavement. I might have gotten further
away except that I got stuck in traffic at a traffic light. The best
part was in court when I got off with a minor fine and the judges
statement that I was the luckiest guy in court that day. My NP
testified on my behalf that I was out of my mind and shouldn't be held
accountable.
elmo
Dez evidently punches harder than I do. He broke the cop's jaw. But
I'm better at eluding capture than he was. Try outrunning the cops in a
soda truck. It aint easy. Dez had a Harley. ahahahahaha!!

But Dez became friends with the cop. Wasn't it that same cop that
eventually gave us the news about Dez? Me, I just wanted to push cars
off the overpass with my SUV, that's when they decided to put me on
anti-D's. Thing is, at the time it seemed perfectly logical and justified.

Yeah, he became friends with the cop and was mentoring him after the cop
was diagnosed with hepc too. Odd....very odd.
No, it wasn't the cop that let us know Dez had passed on. It was a
coworker of his. Dez had a most wonderful loving wife and kids. What a
shame he left us all.

Towards the end I went to the Fred Myers store for a bottle of Ibuprofen. It
had the magnetic anti-theft strip on it and the checker didn't neutralize
it. Well I threw the receipt in the trash on my way out. Of course the
alarms start going off as I pass through the sensors. Now my state of mind
was "at the end of my rope" at 10 months of treatment.
"SIR, SIR, WAIT"...
I snapped around,
"WHAT!!!!!!!!????"
The gal gets a funny look on her face, almost taking a step back, "I need to
see your receipt please"
Now I'm about ready to f.cking blow and kill and maim..
I shout, "IT,S IN THE GODDAMN f.cking TRASH CAN!!!!!" as I storm back over
to the checkout stand, threw the lid off and start digging around.
hahahahaha
I find it and hand it to her, she has this look of shock and disbelief and I
walk out. Man I did not want to be around people on that sh.t.

LOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOL Megs you sound like your on tx. Though something as
simple as whip cream, I can see you point 2nd time bringing home oil.
LOL
And cool whip does not fit the criteria either. hehe Better write the
list on his arm in large letters. He is going to need practice shopping
it will get better.
I can remember that I wanted to call the cops on walmart due to a broken
thread on a shirt. My son really thought i was nuts and aimed to never
go there again as long as I was on tx. LOL I had most all my problems
driving and wanting to drive my car into others to teach them a lesson.
I drove allot at 90mph every time I could and was lucky to never get a
speeding ticket.. I once threw a pile of wood in front of the door and
then walked over it and fell it made me laugh. Tx just has its way with
you. Hang in there and ride the roller coaster..

Hey Mags...
I am getting my posts mixed up, but here is a link that might be helpful,
although I think the ideas you've been getting from the folks here are
probably a better bet.
