Newly diagnosed 1 week ago. This group looks like a good resource so here I am. I may have had this for a very long time. I had slightly elevated liver enzymes in 1997 but the Doctor missed it. May have gotten it from a blood transfusion in 1979. I shot drugs from 1968-1978 and could have gotten it them. My doctor even says french kissing is also a possiblity. Did that with my ex-fiancee in that 1995-1997 period. So who knows. 10 years? 26 years? Maybe even 37 years. Current liver enzymes: sgpt (ALT)= 401 AST = 174 Good Luck. Welcome to the group.
