Good and bad news for me folks (Endoscope & Colonoscopy)

Last week I had a "double header". Endoscopy from the top and
colonoscopy from below.  I had a large polyp removed from my ascending
colon. A step up from Cancer was what I was told, biopsy is still
pending. It's not my first scope. (that's the good news) The endoscopy
just revealed my usual gastritis, but I was recommended to get a BA
video swallow because I choke on food quite often.  I always chocked it
up to eating too fast and bending my head while I ate. Recently though,
I have had trouble swallowing pills and having them get stuck in my
esophagus.  So anyhow, I have two cervical discs (c-3,c-4) sliding into
my esophagus and impingeing the back wall .  Seems this is quite
serious so I am going to get two opinions from two seperate
neurosurgeons to get this taken care of. I'm not even clear as to what
will be done, except that the doctors are calling me. And since there
has been so much activity in there the gastric juices are irritating my
esophagus pretty bad.

So if you are due for either of these tests go get them done now!
I will let you know how I make out.

Sue,
I have multi-level degenerative disc disease. C3-4 level is herniated
and C4-5 has an annular bulge.  I was told that the discs C3-4 are
being pushed into the esophagus from it's downstairs neighbor C-5. I
will know more Thursday. Thanks for the good wishes.
