A friend from the Blues Society told me to check him out, bought his CD
called "Wetlands" today.  Wow, there's not a bum track on it.  It's
always great to discover fabulous music you've never heard before.
Anyone else out there listenin' to Tab?
It's "Guitar Tuesday", tomorrow (of course) is "Guitar Wednesday".  Go
figure?
Wish I had a Dragoncaster Slimline for plucking today.
Someday......
gonna throw this ole Strat away!

So how do most Americans pronounce his last name?  Like maybe  "Buh - noyt"?
In Quebec and in the Acadie in the Canadian Maritimes, the name would most
likely be pronounced in the French fashion, such as "Ben - wah" The -noit
ending is partially silent.  (At least to stunned Anglo Canadian)

We don't pronounce much of anything the French way around here.  Are
'ben-wah' balls French?  I always thot they were Chinese or something.

Nude Orleans?  Count on it, Ebb!  I'm thinking about a trip to Houston
soon to visit my brother with a stop in Dallas to enjoy Billy Bob's and
a couple of hepper  friends if they're up to it.  Maybe Nude Orleans by
Christmas.

Hi Elmo!!,
Well, this will keep me up all night think'in about a "Dragoncaster".
There's a place on the web called "paintedaxe.com" They'll take an ax (junk
or not) do a pro setup on it and then do a custom paint scheme. Yours or
theirs!! Oh! but for a few extra quid in me pocket for a junk strat and
their fee right now!!! I'm coming up with all sorts of graphic visuals!!

I know this guy that makes Slimline telecasters, mohogany body with a
spalted maple top, dragon tail instead of the standard f-hole, maple and
mohogany laminated neck with yew fingerboard, Fender hardware and puts
alot of TLC into building them.  Supposed to get mine custom built by
next summer.  Man, I can't f---ing wait!!  :-)  If I'm lucky, I might
even get the guy to sign it.

For something else you've probably never heard before... try
http://www.dominicfrasca.com/. He does the really far out stuff (modern
minimalist/post-minimalist composers and his own compositions), and
you'd swear his CD was done with multi-track recording. But he does all
that crazy sh.t on his 6 and 10 string guitar by himself in real time,
including the percussion. Unfuckingbelievable. He has a video and MP3
clips with excerpts from his CD on the site. Go there.

Thomass,
You strike me as the kind of person who might appreciate the nuances of a
Weissenborn guitar.  check it out and the links at

http://www.swer.net/english.guitars.weiss.html

and

http://www.swer.net/english.documents.html

I have plans to build one based on this design. later this fall.

Ah, unfortunately I'm just a consumer, not a producer. I tried learning
guitar in my early years, but I couldn't get my fingers to cooperate.
Too many drugs, probably... ;-)
