Thinking of "the old days" and the Friday Night Shooters Club and then I was smiling, fond memories, saying to myself, "gee we had a lot of fun in those days"---WHAT THE f.ck! Fun? FUN? What am I saying! Arrrgh, maybe the interferon *has* damaged by brain, hahahahaha. You all are the best!! Here's a short update on my life: 1. My son will be home for good the last week in June. 2. His marriage did not survive the war. 3. I'm back in school (just one class "legal nurse consulting") 4. Going on my very first cruise to Cozumel in July. Just my son and I. It's his Mother's Day present to me and my "welcome home from Iraq" present to him.
Take care to all and I won't be a stranger to the group any more. hc

Went through with ours last summer and even on tx it was worth it. Climbing to the top of one of the pyramids was an accomplishment, but what a view and it was easier going up than trying to get down from the top. Sorry to hear about your son's marriage.

The town is really cruise-ship touristy, you can rent a car for pretty cheap and drive to the ruins, and then down to the south coast (we're talking a very short drive) to gorgeous beaches that no one goes to. Well worth it to get out of town.

I've been away a while - just picked up on your one year post-tx thread. I am so very happy for you. Fantastic news about your son coming home, too. It is true that no matter who else comes into or goes out of your life, your family will always be there. I think it's terrific that you and your son are taking some time off together. Have a great time on the cruise. And please thank your son for putting his life on the line for us all. Seems like there are a couple of surviving heros in your family... Hugs, Thom
