I started Pegasys Combo on April 5th and my ALT was up to 358 with minor
scarring. It's been 5 weeks and I'm down to ATL 88.
Should I be excited?
Prior to that, 5 years ago, I was a non-responder.
Side affect the 1st time seemed minor.
This time the Peg is kicking my a.s as well. Moods, sweats, long, long
headaches.
My doctor is wondering if the big side affects are related to the big
results, while the low side affects on the 1st go round is related to
the minor (unacceptable results).
Thoughts?

Yes, you should be excited. LOL>
I asked my BCLD (a very knowledgable NP) the very same question you just
asked and was told there is no correlation between side effects and
response rates.

Keep it going man this may be just what you need. I was told that the sides
effects could be positive results as well, or what I mean is that it was
working better.. I have been cured 2.6 years now. Yes be excited, ATL down
to 88 from 358 is great news.
