Hello all-
I was wondering how long it takes to get the blood work back to "normal"
after tx. Also, when should Procrit be stopped? I'll ask the NP in a
couple of weeks...but for now I would like patient experiences. Thanks

I wasn't on Procrit but both my red and white cells were low. After I
finished the red cells came back to normal in 3 weeks, but my white
cells are still slowly going back up 4 months later.

As for the anemia, about 5 weeks after treatment and I was breathing
"normal" and feeling pretty good. It takes a while but everyday was better
and better.

I would think the blood cell both red and white will come back eventually.
But as long as you have the prescription for the procrit, neupogen go ahead
and take it until the counts get normal. Unless you just like waiting
around while your anemic or doctor says no. Good luck buster

It takes a month or so before blood counts get back to normal, the body
will do it on it's own without Procrit. I took my last shots of Procrit
in the week before my treatments ended.
