Well I have obviously found the right news group. I am starting Pegintron
and riba medications due to HepC . Now the Doc says I'm not gonna feel to
great while on this stuff and I have to take it for 48 weeks. I have Hep C
genotype 1B. I am in Advanced stage. (3) I think. With cirosis onset. Went
to Doc 2 Years ago and was told nothing to worry about . At that time I was
stage 0 with no effects. The Hep showed up when I got real sick after being
diagnosed with Diabetes and given a pill called Glucophage. The longer I
took it the worse I felt. Finally diagnosed with Depression and Hepatitis
and Diabetes all in 1 Month. A beautiful spring day to be exact. Now dont
get me wrong , I have a great desire to fight all this stuff but I'm not
sure if it will help to know whats coming or just walk in blind with no
preconceived notions .

Sincerely,

Rickisok?

I would try not to worry about what could possibly happen (that worry
can make things worse), just take it one day at a time. Most people have
at least mild side effects, the famous flu-like symptoms, for one or two
days after the injection. For some folks, the sides stop there. Others
are not so lucky. My sides were in-between. Not too bad (I worked
throughout treatment), but I did need additional meds to combat some of
the sides.

If you run into problems, just ask - there are a lot of folks here who
are currently going through the same ordeal, and a number (like me) who
have it behind them.

Behind you?

If it was behind you then you would have moved on built a new life for you and
your pretty red shirt.

But you are still here telling us who should be kill-filed and who should be
worshiped, and who "hangs out" where. Interesting how your idea of a place to
"hang-out" is a newsgroup. Most normal folks "hang-out" in such assorted places
as bars, snooker halls, sports stadiums, cinemas, bowling allies, dance-halls,
the list is endless, but you see a newsgroup as a place to "hang-out".

Might I suggest you need the loving attention of a caring MHP such as Kali?

I finished treatment two months ago, this newsgroup was really important
to me to ask about symptoms that I was having and what other people did
for them.

Good luck with it, hope to hear that it doesn't bother you.

Personally I think it's good to know..and be prepared for what
"could" occur but stay positive and realize that many people
only get mild sides.  It's a shame it took such a toll on your
liver in so short a time.  There is such a diversity in how much
and how fast the virus progresses in different people.  I had almost
no change from when I was diagnosed to when I was ready to
start tx almost 3 years later.  You might want to check into the
side effects of the Glucophage.  Some meds are not recommended
for people with liver disease.

Stay tough, remember the liver is the one organ that can
regenerate with time so a good fight now could be all it
takes.

Good luck
