Thanks to everyone on this group for their advice and support, the last
couple of weeks have been really hard for me. In the end I opted to take my
first injection at 20:30, hopefully I will make it through to midnight.  I
am glad that the anticipation is finally over, I know the next 24 weeks will
be tough but at least I have started now.

Jonathan, hope shot #1 goes down good for you.  Twenty-four weeks
isn't so bad.  Beats 48 anyhow.  Take good care of yourself and drink
plenty of water and you should be fine.  A big thing is, Keep your
attitude positive.  Enjoy the ride.

Good Luck Jonathan, may you have mild sides.

Myself, I'm toasting in the new year, by doing shot # 13 tonight WHOOPEE.

However I went and had my 12 week PCR done today, and will get the
results back at or around the 10th of Jan.

I'm on a 24 week regimen as well  (Genotype 3a).

You can do it!! Just pinch, hold and keep holding, then inject.  Take
the Tylenol beforehand (at least 1). We'll be giving you good vibes.
Bring the new year in get the bad virus out or wording to that
effect...

Elmo,
Hmmm!  I've been thinking about this and I think maybe some probiotics might
halp you with that little problem...  :  )  However, it sure would make the
place
a lot duller if you didn't have this problem to report on
to us......with such colorful descriptions..

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. 13 hours in, and so far I seem to be
the luckiest man in the world. No side effects from the first shot. I think
I may have had a slight fever shortly after midnight but to be honest if I
wasn't hyper aware then I would not have noticed it. Just have to wait now
and see what the future holds.

Jonathen,
Next New Years you will be celebrating having this all behind you.
Congratulations on getting started.  Just take it a day at a time.  When
that is too long, take it an hour or a minute at a time.  I'm glad it has
started off so easy for you.
Hope it stays that way.
Susie
