Yesterday I was told that some partial results for my 4th week test were
ready. I made a quick trip to the place this morning to get the results.

ALT level dropped into the normal range: 42 (from 77 two weeks before).
This was just a great piece of news, but...

Last page was a surprise.
HCV-RNA VL lab test was ready, result was: under 600 IU/ml.
I must say that my baseline VL before starting tx was 3000 IU/ml, so I
decided to ask a doc whether this was a good result or not.
She said that 600 IU/ml is the lower limit of their Quantitative HCV-RNA
test, so the effective VL could probably be even lower.
At this point she decided to give a phone call directly to the lab
doctor and ask him for the PCR (Qualitative HCV-RNA) as this is known to
be more sensible.

They couldn't give me the piece of paper yet, but she told me the
result, given directly by the lab doctor at the phone, was: UNDETECTABLE.

I think these are good news, after 4 weeks of treatment.
I decided to share what I'm feeling with you.

As a final note, I'll say that there were some values not in the range:
red cells and hemoglobin dropped again (they told me to keep an eye on
them), ferritin is over the max (480) but they told me it's quite normal
 at the moment.

Hugs,
jeeb.

Ya I got news today that my sixth week liver enzyme results were now back
within 'normal' range and was told I should try to put up with the weariness
/ low red count for as long as I can.  My pcr test comes at the begining of
January.  Good news I guess!

That's great, CJ!!  Looks like you'll be getting the 'undetectable' too
in January.
