Hi folks Just a checkin,

Hope all have made it pleasantly through Thanksgiving
And much luck and white light for you folks expecting results this
coming week.

I did my second shot solo about 9 PM last night (Pegesys)
took a couple of Tylenol 1/2 hour before,
stayed up about 3 or 4 more hours

Woke up feeling fine (So far) no injection site reaction etc
(I make a point of not getting the overfill all over the needle)

Generally I get a mild feverishness mid afternoon from the Riba
easily trounced with Tylenol

Appears so far I'm lucky, but I've seen noticed some folks say it can
hit bad any time.

My lower back has been bothering me quite a bit lately but
that was occasional true before TX and the Sonogram found a
very small 4mm Kidney Stone (too small to pulse) If this keeps up I'm
gonna need something to cover the pain, but I don't think its directly
related to TX or HepC

I have been lifting weights for the last year
I was attempting to retire in the best shape of my life,
( till I found out about HEPC, oh well that still may be the case )

Anyway I'm still continuing with the Exercise routines
haven't seen any obvious change of strength or endurance for that
matter.

MAYBE THEY GAVE ME THE PLACEBO!!!! <Grin>
<Ah good old paranoia, keeps me company in times of false security>

Anyway Tuesday I get some Blood tests and Friday discussion with
my TX practitioner (male RN). to see how my Reds and Whites are
looking (AH if that were only wine or Russians <grin>)

The HMO folks screwed my TX start date a bit so "baseline" tests
were actually done 5  weeks before beginning TX
VL 1.7M IU/ml  1A (high midrange).

But all my blood counts were initially on the "rich" side anyway
Maybe that's why I haven't been hit by the sides yet, possibly I
haven't
gone anemic yet.

Any particular questions I should be asking my Doc at this point?

Anyway,,,, all please keep well and feel good (or  at least better)

more to follow

Thanks

I found that week four thru six were the worst in terms of the sides of the
combination effects.  I've adjusted to it and it has abaited somewhat too,
but apparently thats how long it takes for the Interferon to reduce your red
blood cell count to anemic levels.  But I've been told to not write the
whole story until the fat SVR sings.  Things change very fast, as you've
seen on this group.  So try to stay well, it's like the weather in
Newfoundland, nothing to be done about it anyway, bayes.

Yikes, if you've got kidney stones, tx sides are *nothing* to worry about!

Maybe the sides are easy because you are in such good shape. I don't think
there's ever been a study done on that, but it makes sense.

Ask him when you can get those kidney stones treated...

All the best, Benway. Your sense of humour is not only good for you but
probably for a lot of others in the group too-- keep it up, eh!
