9 more days tll my initial encounter with the ((GI)),,Needless to say
that ,,i,m scared,,paranoid,,frustrated,,not worthy of having
friends,,family,,co-workers,understand what i, going through,,and I
guess in a way that the waiting is the hardest part for me. Growing up
in the 60,s,,Drugs,,alchol,,and all the sex.  Theirs actually no way of
telling at this point why I am sick now. Not that it really matters,,i
guess,,as I try to become focused on the treatment. Feeling
nasty,,diseased,,infectious,,and wondering why??,,As I neve did anything
that every 1 else didnt also. I know that ,,I whine,,and bitch,as a new
member,,but a lot of ya have related to me,,and understand the initial
pain,,that i,m feeling. As a single dad,,I need a few more years,,but
after watching my late wife,,and mom ,last year,,I feel as
though,,sometimes the treatment,,is worse than the cure. Tim,,,,,They
had Cancer,,not really sure if Hep-c was a factor,or not.

Tim one of the hardest things that you will have to learn with disease is
to be patient....its seems that everything takes soooo long from getting
an appointment, then going and getting the blood work to find out your
geno-type then sometimes they want to do a liver biopsy to see if you have
much damage...then waiting to see if your insurance fights with you about
the medicine cuz its expensive.  I dont know if you will encounter any of
these problems but when i found out...I remember i just wanted to get
started on the meds and kill the virus that was attacking my liver, I have
had to learn to be patient which i was never any good at.  I dont know if
you believe in God or not, but if you do i reccomend praying....to relieve
the anxious feeling you are having.  And if not thats ok too, just remember
to rest and be good to yourself!  This disease progress fairly slow, and
the medicine can really help...so know your not alone and even if you dont
pray i will say some prayers for you!

Tim also I was actually angry after the scared part wore off and just
wanted someone to blame...or something to blame..I didnt care who or
what..but like you said it doesnt matter how you got it...its how you deal
with the situation now!  Your child needs you so try and not think the
worst...you might have a mild form of this and the sooner you start
treating yourself good both phyiscally and mentally the better off you
will be .  Try not to beat yourself up!  We all have a past and its all
about the future, so please please be kind to yourself.  Try and love
yourself...and if not we will to you can!
