Inquiring minds want to know. Personally, I like milk cows. They're sooo contented. And if you whisper sweet nothings in their ear, the moo for you. Elmo

Your replies mean a lot to me,and i,d like to hear from more >of you.,,,,Tim Shortly after the time I found out I had HCV antibodies (and freaked) I read an article in the newspaper called "Hepatitis C: The Silent Killer". The subject of the article was I guy my age who had been infected for about the same time I forecasted for myself. He had got his through a blood transfusion. He was diagnosed after coming in with symptoms and got bad news. Decompensated cirrhosis. His liver was quitting on him! He got lucky (if you want to call it that) and got a new liver transplant within 2 weeks and they showed his picture with his wife after the transplant. He said the immunosuppressing tx and new lifestyle weren't that great but it sure beat the alternative. But the article freaked me out bad and I assumed it was the same for me. I'm doomed. That bastard got my liver! Out hussled me. So I got some labs drawn and informed my primary care physician that I was dying. He laughed and said my examination and bloodwork tell a different story. That I can't be that bad and to relax. And he was right. The guy in the newstory was the exception. In most cases you're not in too bad shape when you find out you have HCV. But you have to find out what's going on and decide whether treatment is right for you. I even caught a bit of break when I found out I was a genotype 2 and only needed 24 weeks of tx with about an 80% shot at SVR ("cure"). Get all your blood workups and stuff. You'll be fine.
