elmoemerson@webtv.net - 28 Oct 2004 23:07 GMT This is a real toughy, even if you google it. Name the 4 members of a group that played together for a couple of nights back in 1968 called 'The Dirty Mac'.
What a trippy line-up! I almost wish I'd had a hit of acid to watch this DVD by.......WOW!!!!!

Red Dwarf - 29 Oct 2004 04:29 GMT I googled up,John Lennon,Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Mitch Mitchell, and some vocal(ha) contribution by Yoko Ono. Incidentally I saw a PSA recently with Yoko Ono sitting at a desk with the American flag in view, urging people to get out and vote.My stomach was already sour, she didn't help it. John

But you cheated and aren't getting the prize, LOL. I bought the DVD called 'Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus' and played it yesterday. It was made to air on tv back in 1968 but never aired, seems to have been the Stone's answer to Magical Mystery Tour. Everybody in the show seemed to have been doing acid, including the audience. Maybe that's why noone aired it. The circus (show) featured Jethro Tull, The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithful, Dirty Mac and the Rolling Stones. Definitely a STRANGE, yet entertaining show. I'm not much of a Yoko fan either, but when she joined Dirty Mac, they ROCKED!! She didn't sing a single lyric, instead she moaned and screamed the entire song. But it fit real well and was funny while those 4 guys jammed big time. The Stones looked like a bunch of kids dressed in drag, LOL. I recommend this DVD to anyone who loves the Stones or any of the others. Really TRIPPY, man!! Elmo

Red Dwarf - 29 Oct 2004 16:39 GMT That sounds like a fun DVD to see. In 1968 I was 16 y.o., and just discovering girls and weed, and indulged in both liberally. Of course this way before I contracted HCV. The major difference was that was around the time of the sexual revolution,(or tail end), and the worst of anything you could pick-up could be cured with simple antibiotics. Now the kids of today take their lives in their hands when they take chances with sex. Doesn't seem fair. I saw Taj Mahal on the Boston Common, and will never forget him doing the"going fishing song".Great fun. What no prize? I thought I at least had won a bun or something. :-) Those were the days....John

I'm not sure what it is, but you won it. Congrats! Elmo

Thip - 30 Oct 2004 00:07 GMT Sounds great! And here I thought I'd done well by ordering the DVD director's cut of "Woodstock" (the original). Gonna roll up in bed with some goodies I probably shouldn't eat and watch it tonight. Next weekend--Monterey! Am I getting old or what?

We're getting YOUNGER! Try out the Rolling Stones Circus DVD and you'll get some good laughs in as well as a trip back to the good ole days. I've got the Woodstock DVD too but really enjoy this new one even more. I don't buy too many CD's anymore, music DVD's have become my thing. Enjoy your 'goodies' tonight! The Who kicked a.s w/"A Quick One (While He's Away)", and Dirty Mac's "Yer Blues" is incredible. The Stones performance sucked, except for "Parachute Woman". The rest of the film is disposable filler.

The clowns act was enjoyable slapstick comedy and the other sideshows were ok. Elmo
