Hi everybody,
it seems that all the messages I sent before yesterday have gone
anywhere but in this newsgroup.
This may be due to the newsserver I've been using (a free one).
Anyway, my messages should show up properly now so I thought that I'd better
re-introduce myself to you all.
I 'll start treatment tomorrow.
I'm pasting a bit of my first post to this NG, next.
cheers, jeeb
Hi everybody,
I've been reading posts on this NG for a while (I subscribed about one
month ago).
...
This is my first post on this NG and I'd like to say "Hello" to all the
other people reading now.
Actually, there shouldn't be a lot of people at the moment as a lot of
posts' sent time is beetwen 1 and 5 am, but that is, I'm in the old Europe,
cheers ;-)
Let me introduce myself.
The nickname I'm using means nothing. It's just some letters put together to
recall to me a person that I really care for, my son.
I'm male, I'm 30 and I come from Italy.
For this reason you should try to forgive me for my English, I've been
living in England for a while, but it was quite a long time ago ;-)
... I'm dealing with what you call the
dragon.
I had my first examinations about 8 years ago, when I ended my addiction to
drugs.
The result was "anti-HCV positive" but with no need for any treatment as
serum ALT results where ok and HCV-RNA by PCR tested negative.
I've been living this situation for 7 years.
All the doctors told me to do was trying not to drink alchol and keep on
whatching at my serum ALT levels.
Which were normal until the beginning of the current year.
I do test positive for serum HCV-RNA now ...
...
I started looking around the Internet to collect some resources about Hep-C.
One of them was this NG, so here I am.
...
Your comments [about the treatment] fraightened me a bit, but I can't
actually be scared now.
I cannot figure out how will I respond to the treatment.
And even if I would I think I can't allow myself to be scared.
If it is good for me, if I want to, I just have to do that.
Hope to be an helpful friend to you all.
