elmoemerson@webtv.net - 15 Oct 2004 23:59 GMT Seems to me we're being invaded by imposters here. Has anyone else gotten that same impression, or am I nuts? Elmo

elmoemerson@webtv.net - 16 Oct 2004 02:17 GMT Oddly enough, both AG and Loner's posts come from the same time zone as the wacko wearing animal shoes who's been spanked here lately. Coincidence? I don't think so. ahahahahahahahah Elmo

On Sunday, the weather changed to cold, rainy and windy so I called it quits early. The guy fishing next to me caught a big one on Sunday and won it. I put all my gear away yesterday and don't think I'll be fishing again til Spring. But ya never know, if it warms up again, I'll try to sneak in another day of fishing. There are some big one's still lurking in that stream! Elmo

Cactus Jammies - 18 Oct 2004 18:00 GMT I must say that the picture of your old fishing hole is somewhat idyllic to the point of being candy assed, Elmo!
ever creek-fished for brookies in the rockies? In the creeks where you use a willow pole, worms and climb upstream to the backeddys where the monster one-pounders wait like spotted foxes? Your shins take a pounding on the rocks and the roots you bash into. Your skin is numb from the slips and slides into the rushing creek, all you smell is the cottonwood seeds, the rotting leaves and the trout slime of your nirvana! riba rage this morning!

But I have caught quite a few rainbows, cutthroat and brown trout in the Rockies. I've fished Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico trout. Yeah, the place where I've been fishing lately is somewhat candy assed in comparison to the full day hike I made up into the mountain wilderness area near Santa Fe to camp and fish for trout. The only brook trout I've ever caught were in New Jersey. Funny you should post this in the imposter thread. ahahahahahah Elmo ////////////// I must say that the picture of your old fishing hole is somewhat idyllic to the point of being candy assed, Elmo! ever creek-fished for brookies in the rockies? Cactus Jammies - 18 Oct 2004 20:42 GMT caught lots of eastern brook trout in the purcell, monashee, selkirk and rocky mountain ranges. They were brought in by the limeys back in the tweens.

Some pretty nice cutthroat fishing there along with rainbows. I lived right next to the snake river. anytime I had a hankering for trout I would walk over and catch 2 or 3 for a meal... might have to spend a whole 15 minutes :).

Creek fishing mostly. All I do in a boat real good is drink browns.

Damn!!! Maybe we'll do some candy a.s fishing together someday and get a good laugh out of all the whimperers of this world. :-) You really should change your socks, friend. I can smell your feet.
