Hey all,
I have had a terrible time with nausea, gas, and diarrhea the last few
months.  It seems that I have become lactose intolerant.
Never had this problem before TX.  The last four times I had ice cream it
nearly killed me.  Anyone else notice this?

Treatment can cause a lowering of your usual immune responses. Intestinal
bacteria and fungii can florish causing all sorts of problems and symptoms
all over the body.

Low sugar, low carb diet. Celery and yogurt. Clean yourself out.

Your health related suggestions are not good.  My immune system is already
trashed because I have been on TX for 23 weeks now.  Had to start Procreit
two weeks ago.  I already watch my diet because I'm a diabetic.  Yogurt
makes me sick as hell (lactose and tons of bacteria).  After spending two
hours sh.tting my guts out I would think I am as cleaned out as I will ever
get.  Elmo would be proud of the farts that this mess produced.  lol
Just to help you refocus a little, I was asking if anyone else has had these
problems while currently doing TX or when they were.
Fill the room with gas and light that freaking dragon up,
Julie

it seemed anything I ate came out as creamy poo.......

I was nauseas most of the time.

I couldn't get 50 feet from a toilet without sh.tting my pant's.

It's tough at times Julie, but hang in there. Your getting closer and
closer.

I've never had issues with lactose and in Week 10 of weekly Pegasys I
still don't.   Good luck with it.  I have friends who are intolerant and
they use lactaid milk and icecream, and take the pills before they eat
ice cream.  Works for them.

I noticed that foods I used to love I can no longer tolerate.
I also have reflux...haven't had problems with that in years
but either the change in diet, drugs or stress brought it back
on.   Seems like every drug they give to counter one
side effect brings on another and another drug.  Can't
wait to get this stuff out of my system.

I have gone back to raw foods.  Nuts, fresh veggies, fresh
fruit and cheese.  Not for any nutritional reason but because
my stomach seems to handle it.  Took me a while to pin point
what the triggers were.
To make it really fun, I have a ruptured disc that we have been
"managing" with cortisone, mild pain killers and anti-inflammatories.
Now I can no longer take motrin...and man you wouldn't think that
one stupid pill would matter but it does.

Hang tough Julie,  I know you have a tougher road but you
seem to be beating it.

Hey Julie,

I had all those problems except the lactose intolerance thing.  But the way tx
treats everyone so differrently nothing surprises me.  Did you ask your doc
about it yet?   Hopefully it will go away after your tx stops.

Jim
