I have stated that I have a cousin who contracted HCV and is now
undergoing treatment.  (She contracted by sharing needles
(methamphetamine).

While using, she developed "meth marks", the sores and pockmarks that
go with meth addiction.  Although she has been clean for a year and is
now on treatment, she is having a hard time getting these sores to
heal, especially since she has the "itchies" from TX.

The state of her skin has got her very depressed.  Her doctor has
suggested several OTC remedies, but she's had no luck with them. We
were thinking that a medication for bedsores might work.

Any suggestions?

jen my first time thru tx was a real itcher!! Rashes, pimples, bumps, and I
just had to scatch! Well the scratch always makes it worst and people do not
heal well under tx. The best thing I found was "ketoconazole CR 2%" its a
cream but its no magic bullet. It helps the itching and the spreading of the
rashes. You have to get a prescription for it. I hope your cousin does well.
Tell her that most of are in the same boat and she can whip this thing.

Thanks for the suggestions- and Hoof, Granulex was the product that
I was trying to think of, but couldn't remember the name.

It'll make her feel better if she can at least get her skin cleared
up - she says it's a constant reminder of her stupidity (the meth
problem), and she's pretty ashamed of her addiction.

Thanks for the good wishes-

jen
