The worst part about having company over is you have to clean the damn
house. Geeeez!!  Ahhhhh, the life of a lonely slob.  Think I'll go clean
the toilet bowl now.

When I have people over, I clean the bathrooms (the part they use), but I
often don't have time to scour the tubs or the tile surround.  So, I put a
sign on the back tub wall that says "Serves you right for looking" and pull
the shower curtain.  No one's ever said a word about my bathrooms, including
my mother-in-law.   :-)

The party's over and everything went well. Got rave reviews over all the
food I served up.  One of the guests brought over their 10 month old
daughter, a little cutie.  Heidi had never seen such a tiny human being
and two of them got along marvelously, I didn't know how that was going
to go.  Heidi laid down on the floor right next her watching with her
ears perked up.  Every time the baby would make noises with her mouth,
Heidi would reach over and give her a big sloppy kiss on the mouth which
would prompt her to make even more noises.  It had all of in stitches.
Got the entire house all ready for the guests on time.  I had the
thought of inventing a device to put on the rim of the toilet that every
time someone sat down, a hand would slap em on the a.s.  hehe

I just say.  If you don't like it tough  LOL.
I can be a messy bugger though.  It's got worse on tx as spare enerrgy
is used for earning money not cleaning my place LOL.

A clean and tidy home is the sign of a wasted life :-)

Replying to my own post but I wondered something.
If I were given a month to live, how much time would I spend cleaning
my home?
Answer.  Not a single second.

That's true.  But if you've got years to live, your home could get
pretty nasty if you never cleaned it.  Trust me on this one :)

They're not for everyday use but I keep a container of those Clorox
Wipes (not just Clorox, you can get them in different scents.)  I know
it's not any different than putting cleaner on a paper towel BUT you can
pull one out, wipe down the nasty toilet rim, and flush it.  For the
times that even that seems like too much work, they're a godsend.  I
don't really want to say to my guests "you guys enjoy the clean
bathroom, I exhausted myself cleaning it and have to sleep the rest of
the day".

That's why we have a maid come in once a week ... in Spain, that isn't
expensive.

In Saipan, it isn't too expensive here either.  What a blessing this has
been....

Cleaning house....  Something I enjoyed doing before tx.  Always liked to keep
busy.  First I would dust/clean furniture, mop all the floors and then on to
the kitchen and bathrooms.  After that, I would start on my yard and then clean
the pool.  Did it every Saturday and was usually finished by 6:00pm.  Just in
time to grab a bite and then out for the evening.  Not quite the same anymore.
Had to get a housekeeper to help with chores around the house and had to hire a
lawn service to take care of my yard.  Looking forward to the day when I can do
those things again.  Not as stresed as I use to be about not being back to
where I was prior to tx.  I figure I'll get better in due time.  That's the one
thing I pray for each night before bed.  For me it would be like winning the
lottery.

Amazing Elmo that your comment brought all these thoughts out of my head just
now.

Hope you are getting along well.

Jim
