I am posting for a friend. She says her doctors have told her she has three
types of hepatitis simultaneously. She doesn't know which three. She is a
Medicaid patient and her doctors don't tell her much.
She is going to be assertive and ask her doctors. In the meantime: is it
possible for someone to have three types of hepatitis?
Thanks,
Amanda (unacquainted with the hepatitis world)

There is D, E and G. But there is no F? D is only present in the case
of existing Hepatitis B. Then there is autoimmune hep as well.

A, B, and C are the primary types, but there is also type "D" and autoimmune
hepatitis and each of these have sub-types. Hope this helps,

Amanda,
Before we start treatment for hepatitis C, our docs make real sure we
get vaccinations for A and B. My doc said it's "really problematic"
to have two types at once. God knows what having three will mean.
Don't mean to be negative, just telling it like it is.
