Am going in to work today to say good'bye to Bossy, my favorite cow, get
my second and last paycheck and then go fishing.  ahahaha
One thing 4 years of doing battle with the dragon is that I don't have
to put up with bullshit if I don't want to.  Treatment was hard enough
and has taught me I can succeed at just about anything I put my mind to.
My job was cutting way into all the things that give me
pleasure....working from 9am til 9pm.  I don't live to work, just the
opposite.  Besides, my priorities have changed since doing the
treatment.  I didn't go thru all that stuff so that I could spend all my
time putting money in someone else's pocket doing a job I can't stand.
Hell, I'm going FISHING!!

9 to 9 work day?? Just thinking about that makes me want to crawl into the
corner and go to my safe place.
I don't know how you do(did)it.

But then again I realize some not all suffer from the extreme fatigue.

Have fun fishing.

I gave her one last pat and told her I'd be back, LOL.  Told my boss I
had to leave because I had a terrible hankering to go fishing. I only
caught two trout but it sure beat the sh.t out of being at work.  I
haven't really been screwing cows for the last couple of weeks, the job
sucked.  When the a.shole boss finally informed me that I'd have to
hotel one week out of each month (he didn't tell me during the interview
that I'd be on the road), I was GONE!  I've got a number of irons in the
fire and have no intention of doing anything I don't enjoy.

Girl, I think you have found Elmo's new career: Professional Fish Baiter! Of
course people will find the title too long and hard to remember so they'll
shorten it to Master Baiter, but Elmo's sense of humour is such that he'll
appreciate it. Picture this... Elmo in a straw hat with a bucket of
nightcrawlers in front of a shack that looks like a Pizza Hut on the banks
of some gorgeous lake, offering free baiting to all the ladies wearing high
heels.

Yep, my favorite nurse Marmelade retired this past month and has a new
home an hour away from Paris (quite nice, I might add) with her beau of
several years.  We're still in touch, much like most of the good ole

And it would sure be nice to see you here in the Purple Hills of Pender (now
there's a song you never heard before!). Please say hi to Carol from me the
next time you can; she's one of my favourite people of all the group and I'd
sure like to see her here too.

Thinking of travelling, I'm planning a trip to Dawson City next summer and
it would be great to meet up with Russ and Kiak too. Still thinking of
travelling, a reunion of this group would be a real blast, but like you say,
everyone's all over the freakin' planet! I wonder where the centre would be?
It would be the centre of the four points furthest each other, probably in
the middle of an ocean!

Elmo
And it would sure be nice to see you here in the Purple Hills of Pender
(now there's a song you never heard before!). Please say hi to Carol
from me the next time you can; she's one of my favourite people of all
the group and I'd sure like to see her here too. Thinking of travelling,
I'm planning a trip to Dawson City next summer and it would be great to
meet up with Russ and Kiak too. Still thinking of travelling, a reunion
of this group would be a real blast, but like you say, everyone's all
over the freakin' planet! I wonder where the centre would be? It would
be the centre of the four points furthest each other, probably in the
middle of an ocean!

Are you suggesting a hepper cruise? We wouldn't want to tell the
cruiseline who we were, they might put us up in 'portage'. LOL Elmo And
there you'd be, sneaking off to steerage. Spidey

Oh yeah, steerage babes!!

Think steers... cows... you know, moo-moo cows.

Naw, had my fill of cows for now.  All they do is stand there and moooo.
On the other hand, fish are much more gamey.  They flop around and
stuff.  Haven't you heard the expression, "---- like a fish"?
Am getting up at Dawn's crack and go fishin tomorrow.

Shades of Father Elmo, man I hear you 1000% percent.

All I do is work my summers away, never do much. Been doing that for a long,
long time. I get the winters off though so I do get some fun time in. My
attitude about working all the time has changed dramatically. One thing when
I went back to work, they wanted me to work in an 80% pay gravel pit,
running an asphalt plant. Not for the faint of heart as there is great fire
involved.

I told them no mo 80% for me. haha, they caved in and pay me full scale
wherever I go. I just didn't care, there are other jobs. At 49 and good at
what I do, they are just going to have to cough up for me to bust my
balls!!!

To the point, I have become very vocal about bullshit since treatment too.
After doing the chemo treatment, I just won't stand up for any crap. I feel
so much more personal power since the treatment. I KNOW I can  handle
anything after that.

I've already decided I'll take my early retirement at 52. It'll be enough to
live on and I really don't care about the money anyway. I want to do all the
things I miss doing, fishing, hunting, camping. And music. I want to
completely submerge myself in playing and singing. Get back into writing
too. There is about a billion thoughts in my head waiting to be wrote down.

And dammit Elmo, I want to go fishing too! Hey, sneak down at night to the
fish hatchery beneath the dam in Branson, there are some big lunker 'bows
there!! hahahahahah

cya at the fishin hole!

You must be talking about the hatchery at Roaring River.  My favorite
fishing hole is a bit north of here at Bennett Spring.  I caught one of
those 'lunkers' there when I was a kid and love fishing there.  If you
can make your way down here, I'll take you there.
After the ballgame today (Cards and Giants), I'm gonna plug both the LP
and the Strat in and make some noise.  Life IS good!!!

Am going in to work today to say good'bye to Bossy, my favorite cow, get
my second and last paycheck and then go fishing. ahahaha One thing 4
years of doing battle with the dragon is that I don't have to put up
with bullshit if I don't want to. Treatment was hard enough and has
taught me I can succeed at just about anything I put my mind to. My job
was cutting way into all the things that give me pleasure....working
from 9am til 9pm. I don't live to work, just the opposite. Besides, my
priorities have changed since doing the treatment. I didn't go thru all
that stuff so that I could spend all my time putting money in someone
else's pocket doing a job I can't stand. Hell, I'm going FISHING!!
