Just want to say thanks to Ken for suggesting hydrocortisone cream for
the rash on the arm where all my blood tests were done. I guess it
was a tape rash. Anyway, it fixed it right up. I'm still seeing lots
of red dots popping up all over me, but they're not bothering me.
(I'd really hate to shower at the gym these days. What with the shot
marks and rash, I wonder what people would think).
Shot three in a couple of hours. I felt great all week after shot 2.
Got sick for the weekend but then every day this week was good. Kind
of made me sad to wake up and realize it's shot day once again. But
who knows, two was easier than one, so three might be better yet. I
just wish I could skip the next day sick all day thing. (I know, I
know, I'm killing bugs). Still, if the weekdays are good, I'll settle
for that.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Bob, if you read this, how's the
infergen going? You posted madly and then disappeared. Hope it's
going well. Post an update.
Good luck to everyone trying to kill this thing.

Hi Kieth,
The Infergen seems to be goin Ok - tonight will be #14. I just seem to have
little energy nor much interest in anything. It's probably depression since
my wife moved away last week to start her medical residency. I miss her
terribly. I just lay around most of the day waiting until time to take the
next medicine. It's a hell of an existance.

Hey Bob,
No one else in your life? They have these great things called
"friends". They're just fun to have around, I hear. None of them
around your house?
You said it's a hell of an existence when it's built around shots. I
believe it. That's why I keep pinging you. It must be very difficult
to deal with a shot every day.
I'm glad to hear the meds aren't doing you in in a physical sense, at
least. Gotta get through it somehow, right? If it helps to know
someone somewhere knows what you're going through, and is thinking of
you. I am, and I'm sure lots of us are. You're not alone.
I mentioned Infergen at my last doc visit, and they said they're
seeing it work well in non-responders at the office. It may be a
bitch, but it'll probably do the trick.
Take care,
Keith

That's about it, Kieth -- precious few friends around these parts; even fewer
since dx with HCV and losing my job in August. Most friends have somewhat
normal lives with jobs and things. During my first round of treatment I felt
too crappy most of the time to put much effort into keeping up with friends.
It's why I miss the wife so much -- we did pretty much everything together.
Thankfully I'll be seeing a couple of friends tomorrow. Probably wont be
with them as long as I'd like due to this fatigue or depression or whatever
it is.
Thanks for asking.

Someone suggested to me that I get some movies at the library or some books
on tape. That might help.....if you can get up the energy long enough to go
to the library that is. I picked up some movies this week and thought I'd
give it a try.

If I can get to a movie during the week and be distracted and laugh or be
scared for a while, I figure it is a good week. The Day After scared the
daylights out of me.
Terminal was pleasant this week. Next week I'm going to go see Garfield for
some mindless distraction. If it is a really bad week, I hybernate at home
more. I like Thursdays usually and feel a little more active then.
