Kill the dragon, Julie //////////// During one of my greater moments of clarity during my second round of tx, I mistakenly did two shots of Peg-Intron the same night. They changed the packaging and it appeared to me I was doing the right thing. Oooops!! Two weeks later, I developed a terrible infection, became really sick and spent a week in the hospital having surgery and getting 3 different IV antibiotics. I wanted someone to just shoot me to put me out of my mysery. It was the worst I've ever felt. But I didn't let it interfere with tx, didn't miss a single dose. By the time I saw my goat doc, I was better. When I told her what had happened, she said 'That was a major event and I was supposed to drop you from the clinical trial'. That's why I asked the surgeon not to call her! Elmo

Susie Quill - 28 Apr 2004 09:08 GMT Oh, thanks Paul. Still trying to get my server changed. Finally got the newslist downloaded, but I am trying to change servers because these guys just weren't helpful at all. It just miraculously finally worked. They told me I was the only one complaining...so had to be my fault. I should have had a fax waiting for me tonight telling me how to finish changing servers. It isn't here. Part of the joy of living over-seas where no one seems to be too anxious to be helpful most days. The strange thing is, I'm usually feeling so bad I don't care. Not enough energy to get too excited and demanding about getting decent service. I've pretty much decided that I'm leaving next year. I miss the states...Braum's, Mexican Food, grocery stores with an obscene amount of stuff available for anything your heart desires. I miss Wal-Mart. I miss my bathtub.

It isn't here. That shouldn't be too difficult Susie. It's usually just a matter of changing the server name (NNTP server) in the news reader software. You will surely need to enter your username and password to access the server too. I see you're using OE 6 for news. There are better newsreaders IMO but maybe better to stay with what you know for now. The relevant bits are on TOOLS > ACCOUNTS >NEWS (tab) >ADD >NEWS then enter your details going through the NEXT button. When that is done, highlight the account and click PROPERTIES then the SERVER tab. If you have a username/password just check the "server requires me to log on" thingy and enter your details. Hope that works for you.

Thanks for the suggestions Paul. I got the fax tonight...finally. I'm afraid to make the changes now though since I'm finally getting this newslist. However, I'm getting so much spam on my e-mail, that I can't even get it downloaded. 90 some messages, and I bet they are all spam except for 2 or 3. Well, I'll just have to jump in and make the change and hope not to lose this list again. Thanks for the suggestions on how to do it.
