Hi Group,

Yes, I'm still here.  Been lurking for quite a while but didn't
want to get into the middle of all the fighting.  Had enough Riba Rage
thank you very much.  But still keeping up with most of the posts, I
check in every couple of days.  Always the same.  Bitch, Bitch, Bitch,
then one or two posts that are worth while.  Too many trolls.
Here is why I have broken my silence.  I 'do' my last shot on
Mar. 7th.  I'll probably take my riba through that week then stop.  My
BCLD's RN didn't know how long I was to take the pills after the last
shot.  So I made the decision to stop on Mar. 14, one week after my
last inj.  Thomas help me out here.  Is that a good plan?
Also, and I know a good portion of you don't agree with this so
I'll be vague..... I'm going to have some DRUGS left after tx.   I'm
not going to say what, or how many.  But I can't just throw them away
if someone can use them.
I seem to remember that someone here was paying cash for his
meds.  Was it Dwight?  I can't remember.  If there is someone out
there that can use these meds please Email me at the addy above.  I'll
answer you and we can make arraingments there.  I don't need all the
negative comments, bitchs, warnings etc. that will come from this
post.  I know it's illegal.  I know the risks to me and the person I'm
giving the meds to.  The meds are 'fresh', not contaminated, I'm not
f.cking with you.  So, please contact me at the Addy above and let me
know you can use the meds.  I'll check my email daily.
While I'm here, I want to thank you all for your support.  You
guys were it.  I never contacted that Peg. support group.  I have
always gotten good advice from you all.  Thomas is the best, I trust
his comments over everyone.  I have never been able to contradict
anything he says.  His advice is always sound.  Thanks Thomas.  Elmo,
you keep me laughing, entertained and on the straight and narrow path.
Cody, I appreciate you being the whipping boy for the group.  You've
kept the pressure off the rest of us.....somewhat.  You've all been
really good to me.  I've screwed up in the past and you didn't shun me
the way I thought I deserved.  You understood.  You saw I was
delerious, but you let it go.  Thank you.  I can't tell you how
embarressed I was when I came to my senses.  Hoof, you were the object
of my raving and you were gracious enough to find out what was behind
the rant and forgive me for it.  Thank you.    I'm getting sappy, but
my tx is coming to an end.  I am almost in the light at the end of the
tunnel.  I may not post until I get my RNA test back. (thats the one
my MD uses).  I will let you know how it all turned out.  I only had
to do the 24 week course.  It kicked my a.s.  I really don't know how
some of you are doing 48 weeks.  My hats off to you.
So, thank you all.  You really got me through this.  I'll never
forget your help.  We did this together.  I'm mentally shaking hands
with you all.  Thank you again.  Dave   KILL THE f.cking DRAGON, HE'S

Dave, congratulations (I hope this means your tx is working).  I had
been wondering how you were doing.  It was you, Michael, Lu Tze, and I
that started about the same time.  I thought I was in for the full 48,
but it doesn't look like it was to be.  I'm going to have some meds left
over myself, but not sure which ones, I'll know more tomorrow after
seeing the doctor.  Hope you stay in touch, I plan on sticking around
and seeing what the future has to offer in the way of tx.  The dragon
got a reprieve, again, but I'm not through fighting yet.

Congrats on almost finishing up.  Now if I could only decide to take the
plunge again to treat or at least have my LFT's drawn like they should
be, I might try to find out if I need another biopsy.  I have a horrible
feeling that somehow it hasn't reversed further and instead has gone
back to level two stage two. I am really a wuss and a part of me is
curious of where my liver stands today, and a part of me doesn't want to
face any more bad news.
I read where Elmo has finally succeeded, but Dwight is failing and
others have succeeded and still others have failed and I am weighing it
all in my mind along with the advise of my first liver doc at Kaiser who
told me that if I didn't succeed in treatment on Monotherapy he didn't
feel that I would succeed on the combo.  The FDA rules and regs were
different back then.  I also never had any spiked ALT until after I was
in treatment, so who knows,  I have a tendency to think that treatment
spiked my ALT.  My AST was always out of range but rarely over 105.
Feel like drawing any blood on me and getting it to the lab??  I don't
want to get into another fight with a lab, although since I changed
medical carriers I haven't had the problems I had with Kaiser.  I may
pay through the nose in deductibles, but once that is paid, it is well
worth it as I feel I get better care and I don't feel like a piece of
cattle running through some stockyard and never knowing who my primary
physician is.
Take Care Dave.

That's what I did as well. The interferon is still in your system, so
it's probably a good idea to continue the riba. My doc wasn't sure, but
he too thought it made sense.

Ho-ho-ho. Now he has a pretty ugly red glow-in-the-dark face to match his
pretty red glow-in-the-dark shirt. It must resemble a warning bouy.

It's interesting how the ones who suck up to you are the ones with *no*
scientific background at all, and ole valley boy is a true product of the
Wilson government's comprehensive school system.

><Slurps down some coffee>

Tisk, tisk, tisk, did you not know that there is clinical basis for
belief that coffee drinking will encourage hair growth on your liver ?

However, be advised that clinical investigation has shown that some
imported blends of coffee taken by way of enema will give the liver
a trendy waxed-n-polished look

*We* recommend a long relaxing double-strength injection of cafe-noir
before retiring to bed each evening..

Whilst I understand that feral cave dwellers utilise coffee in such a manner my
favourite thing is slurping down a cup of coffee in the conventional way in the
company of Lady Robin whilst laughing at pretty red shirts on anti-Ds. It
boosts natural interferon yaknow?

Of course it makes good sense.  The shot leaves interferon in your
system for the week following the injection and that is when the riba is
dosed.  You didn't take the riba a week before the shot, you started
taking them both at the same time. What's the point of taking a shot if
you're not going to have riba in your system the following week?
48 shots and 48 weeks of riba equates to finishing the riba 6 days after
your last shot.

Right on, Dave!!  I'm happy for you!!  We are both finishing at the same
time, I take my last shot of Pegasys a week from this Friday (two left)
and my last dose of riba the following Thursday (March 11).  May we both
have made it over the top and get that SVR.
You're a good man to offer up your extra drugs.  My extras are going to
someone in the local support group who has to pay out of pocket.
Take care, good bro.  And keep us posted!
