Funny thing is that back there you have no clue about fog. Even my
daughter had a huge laugh at one of her in-laws who visited here and ran
off the road cuz he could see the road in front of him.
He wasn't in the worse of it, Tule fog is the worst, sometimes it gets
so bad here you can't see the front of your vehicle. No joke.
It is 10:05 here and we have creeped up to a whopping 51 degrees.

Was it because of the holidays last week, Presidents days? Maybe it
will still arrive.

I switched my local carrier from PacBell now SBC, to ATT Local. I get
statewide calling for $10.00 per month, and no extra charges. I don't
know if it is available in all states though, you would have to check.
It is saving me a lot of money when I am selling doggins in northern and
southern calif. I can even call a county away and not be charged. I love
it. Beats paying toll calls and long distance in-state calls.

I hate voice mail too, what I hate most is that once you go through
their voice mail system and finally get a real person on the other end
of the line, they tell you to hold for a minute while they speak to
their supervisor and then you have to go through the entire voice
messaging system and restate your problem to a new person who puts you
on hold and then you cycle trough their system again and again...

Calm down madam, that isn't going to win you any brownie points at the
study center.
I'm working on the next sarcastic message next--something like
> "There's no sense in saying this because you aren't going to call me, but
> I'm a nice person and I don't want to inconvenience you the way you've
> inconvenienced me, blah blah blah...."
Well you are not as bad as I am about getting totally frustrated, so
maybe that one will work.
You could always leave the message for them to refer to your other
message for a complete explanation of the call.
I have done this sometimes, the problem is that they are not taking
notes like they are supposed to be in all cases. Some do and some
don't. the ones that don't I never catch their name, so i can't
blacklist them.

Yes, I know about fog, Hoof--I grew up outside of Seattle/Tacoma. We used
to call them "pea-soupers." There were times we couldn't even see the hood
ornament on the car. When I was a kid, we had a horrible accident right in
front of my house--some hunters ran the stop sign on the corner (couldn't
see it), hit another car, that car rolled, and it killed a neighbor boy who
was waiting for the schoolbus. His sister was severely injured. If I
hadn't changed schools that year, I'd have been out there too.

It has nothing to do with any holidays and everything to do with
incompetence.

I'm a lot calmer now. Instead of punching all the right buttons to get to
Dr. Gitlin's office, I punched some other (wrong) buttons and actually got a
warm body (shock). She was extremely nice (after I apologized for venting
my frustration), verified the appointment for me, and promised the package
would go out *today.*

I had a couple here last year to pick up a couple of pups who were from
the Seattle area in Washington State and they came down in the fog, got
lost. They were definitely not used to what we get around here.
They had not seen anything like this and it wasn't our worst fog they
were driving in.

I hate those. I lived on a road that ran up to the Indian Res. there
was a really sharp 90 degree turn, hardly anyone could make it. Lucky
we weren't located in front of the turn, but someone else was. They put
up boulders so the drunks wouldn't run into their abode.

I always try to skip to the Zero, or sometimes I use the number 9
depends, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work. Another
tactic I use is to pretend I don't have a push button phone. I just
wait for someone to come on the other end of the line and pretend I have
a rotary phone.
congrats on getting through.

| WEll after pouring rain yesterday, we have glorious sunshine. | I
spent all day yesterday with sears maintenance crew, all because my |
lawnmower wouldn't start the day before. | I got in the phone and though
I had in home service warranty on it, and | decided to make appointments
for all my other appliances. | So Fridge was checked out and a bulb
replaced by one man, who couldn't | do the oven. He helped me load the
lawnmower in my pick-up though. | Then the other man ws running behind
schedule and when he finally | arrived it was raining hard. He did the
oven, the washer and dryer. | When I walked him outside to the gate, we
noticed that the cover over | the pickup had blown nearly over and into
the side of the truck. Slight | scratch noted on the passenger door. He
helped me get it back in the | little things that hold it into the
ground. I didn't lose any trees | this time. Keeping fingers crossed.
Then I drove down to the repair | shop with the lawnmower and dropped it
off. I can't pick it up until | March 4th.
| So what did they do to you? I tried to thread back but the message
isn't | there and elmo doesn't include the entire post in his responses,
so I | have no clue what is going on. Something about not getting
started as | quickly as you first thought, is what I think it is about
but not sure.

It WAS in the 60's here, glorious sping weather. Started snowing
sometime last night and since we're not used to it, we consider
ourselves socked in. I've tried and tried to call my boss, and the
switchboard finally told me *nobody* made it down to the school today. I
haven't seen any cars/trucks on my road at all. It's coming down like
crazy right now. Thank heavens I had new heat/air put in last week.
This clinical trial dr. has me climbing the walls. I was told I'd
receive a package from them and to call if it didn't come. Well, I've
called and called and called and called and called, and they don't call
back. I even called my doc in Athens and had THEM call, and Gitlin's
office didn't return theirs either. I'm getting frustrated--all the
calls are long distance, and they all take forever because I punch
numbers and listen to messages. So, I've taken to leaving sarcastic
messages because I don't expect them to call me back anyway. This
morning I told them I wasn't going to hold my breathe waiting. I'm
working on the next sarcastic message next--something like "There's no
sense in saying this because you aren't going to call me, but I'm a nice
person and I don't want to inconvenience you the way you've
inconvenienced me, blah blah blah...."

ahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! Call up and leave a message on his machine saying
that "this is your girlfriend calling......I'm pregnant and I really
NEED to talk to you right away."
