I may have started to get Steroid Induced Glaucoma from some steroid drops I
have been having. I have only been told to come off of them and it should
disappear - is this the case as I though I would end up needing some kind of
medication for it too? Does redness, slight blurring and soreness of the eye
sound the likely early symptoms?

Sounds like symptoms to me but you should ask a professional.
My glaucoma started with rainbow vision and blurriness. I have sore
eyes now but that is do to the medication. Redness can come from any
number of things i.e. Dry eyes, wet eyes....Get it detected as early
as possible to prevent loss of sight

HEY BYRON, GET YOUR DOCTOR (I SUSPECT IT IS YOUR
REGULAR FAMILY ONE,) TO REFER YOU TO A SPECIALIST PRONTO ! ! ! IF YOU
GETTING TO MIDDLE AGE YOU SHOULD HAVE CHECKS FOR IT AS A ROUTINE,
EVERY ONE SHOULD. IT IS AN INSIDUOUS (DID I SPELL THAT RIGHT?) DISEASE
AND NEVER TAKE A CHANCE WITH YOUR EYES, 'COS WITH GLAUCOMA, WHEN ITS
GONE ITS GONE,...PREVENTION IS BEST, AND MAYBE YOU ARE NOT HAVING A
REACTION, THO THOSE DROPS CAN DO THAT. MAYBE YOU DO HAVE EARLY
SYMPTOMS
I WISH I SOUNDED NICER BUT GET THEM EYES CHECKED PROPERLY AND
PRONTO...IF THE DOC HESITATES, THEN AGITATE, THEY ARE YOUR EYES NOT
THEIRS.

GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT MAY BE NOTHING , BUT YOU WILL ALSO BE ONE HAPPIER
GUY WHEN YOU TRUELY KNOW.
AND A SPECIALIST WILL HAVE INFORMATION  ALL ABOUT WHAT TO LOOK FOR.
(AND GET A FOLLOW UP VISIT WITH THE SPECIALIST AFTER A COUPLE OF
MONTHS TO BE SUPER SURE !)
GOODLUCK !!GO GUY...
