Hi, All,

I have Glocoma in both my eyes for many years. I am applying drops
twice a day and the pressure is under control. I would be grateful if
any one can list the out the activities which increase the
pressure in the eyes. Does having sex increase the pressure?

Thanks in advance

V.Manohar

Hi  V. Manohar,

from my own experience with glaucoma, caused by an injury to my eye,
yes sex will increase the pressure in the eye. As will almost anything
that puts a strain on the body, any kind of effort has the same result
of increasing pressure, eg lifting a heavy object, overeating, etc. But
the effects are only temporary, and go when the strain being exerted
goes. Hope that helps,

Robyn
