I have noticed in the Cosopt website (http://www.cosopt.com), that
they are producing 10 ml of Cosopt fluids in bottles instead of the
usual 5 ml, which it was mentioned that they are discontinuing the 5 ml
bottles.  When will they start distributing the 10 ml bottles in
pharmacies?
The pharmacy I go to (Walgreens) still have the 5 ml Cosopt
bottles, since I use the medication prescriped by my eye doctor.....so
that's why I was wondering.
Thanks to anyone who can answer, in advance. :)

I can't say about the U.S.A., which the website is for, but I have been
getting Cosopt in 10 ml in Canada for at least the last year, probably more.

I have been ordering drops from Canada for several years. Have been
getting Cosopt in 10 mi bottles
Just seen where feds are serious about intercepting orders from Can to
US. I don't believe I will risk it now. Was wondering if Dennis is from
Can ?
Lora.

I am. My Cosopt is covered under what is called a Section 8 (no joke) of
the Ontario (provincial) drug plan for low income earners. That means
that the physician certifies that the usual suspects have been tried and
failed to reduce my pressures adequately.

My Alphagan is almost always a generic version now, as we get generics
approved over here much sooner than in the USA. (Claritin has been sold
over the counter almost from the start, and generic versions have been
out for five to six years. Ditto for Reactine.)

I also take Lumigan, which is not covered, and runs about $50 - $60 CAN.
per bottle. Fortunately, my ophthamalogist gets lots of free samples
from the manufacturer.

The US Congress is working on legislation to allow prescription drugs
from Canada to enter the US. This being an election year, now is the
time to pressure your legislators to pass such a thing.
