Yes, he said they don't like to prescribe it to older people
with breathing problems, but since I am in my early 30's
and didn't have any breathing problems he felt that I wouldn't
have any problem with it.
Now he wants to switch me to Betoptic which he
says is a beta blocker like Betimol, but it shouldn't produce
the side effects that Betimol does since Betoptic doesn't
effect the heart like Betimol can, or something like that.
After a person stops taking Betimol how long does it
usually take for the side effects to go away?

I never took Betimol but I was on a different beta blocker for a short
while. I think they say it can take up to two weeks to clear your
system, but in my case it seemed like maybe just a few days. But I was
only on it for about three weeks, since it didn't lower pressure for me.
