Hi,
I am going to have a "tonometric" or "diurnal curve" done, that is, my eye
pressure will be measured repeatedly during the day every hour from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. I am a bit worried: won't so many measurements hurt my eyes? I had
an episode of corneal abrasion about fifteen years ago (now I'm forty)
probably due to contact lenses. Besides, sometimes my eyes sting, above all
in winter, when pollution is higher: can these factors be a contraindication
in doing the curve? Also, I wear soft contact lenses: should I stop wearing
them for some days after or before the "curve"?
Thank you very much for your help and Happy Easter!

Hi Alberto,
You ALWAYS seem to be a bit worried, no matter what your doc
suggests...you need to relax a little! A diurnal curve is NOTHING to
worry about...they're just going to check your IOP several times in one
day. I probably wouldn't wear my contacts for a day or two afterwards,
but that's it. Really, it's nothing to get anxious about, I promise.
