I've been on Lumigan for 28 months.  I just noticed some yellow-brown
pigment spots in my baby-blues.  Once the color begins to change, how
long a process is it generally until it becomes noticeable?  My eyes
still look definitely blue, and I want to keep them that way, but as I
have about 2 - 3 months left of unused Lumigan,  I'd hate to throw
money away if that amount of time won't cause significant change.

Thanks for any replies.

Cheers,
Ann

I doubt you'll notice that much more change after a few more months.
The change of iris color, in those of my patients who went to darker
brown, generally takes a few years in my opinion.   Brown eyes aren't
so bad...I've had mine for almost 41 years.  More important to keep
them seeing.  I wouldn't care if my eyes looked purple, as long as I
could see my daughters' beautiful faces each morning.  Let's keep
things in perspective, Ann.
By the way, is your doc switching you to something else?  If so,
what will you be using?  Keep in mind that, pound for pound, Lumigan is
the best drop out there at lowering IOP.
Take care,
Dr. Cohn

Thanks, Dr. Cohn, for the information and advice.  I'll wait till my
next appointment in May to discuss it with my GS; actually, I'm
thinking that the laser may be the best next step; that'll hopefully
buy a few years off drops and their side effects.  But maintaining
vision is the top priority.

Cheers,
Ann
