I have been getting my Xalatan by mail for five years. Never had a
problem. It used to be shipped overnight with an ice pack (in hot weather).
Now it comes through regular mail or UPS.
Box now contains wording stating the following. **Important information for
Mail-Order Patients: Contact dispensing pharmacy if prescription is not
received within 8 days of dispensing date. SEE DATE ON PRESCRIPTION LABEL.
During shipment to the patient, the bottle may be maintained at temperatures
up to 40 degree C (104 degree F) for a period not exceeding 8 days.**
After you receive the Xalatan, it should be refrigerated until opened.
I believe I am right in making the following statement (If not, someone
please correct me). If a bottle of Xalatan has been exposed to extreme high
for an extended period of time the contents will be cloudy and if so, don't
use.
