>Is there any conflict between Cosopt and Aspirin (Micropirin)?
A quick search on Micropirin seems to show that it's a 75mg coated ASA sold in
the UK.
Physician's Desk Reference says:
"Potential for acid-base and electrolyte disturbances with high-dose salicylate
therapy."
PDR seems to have a highly restrictive selection of (mostly American name-brand)
products, so I chose Bayer for the Aspirin. It also reports that the aspirin
product labelling shows no interactions with Cosopt (at least for the Bayer 81mg
& 325mg versions).
If you have any concerns, maybe talk to your eye doctor or Pharmacist. I'll be
asking my Opthamologist about this one, but my next appointment isn't for a few
months. Besides, high-dose probably means something higher than the
regular-strength 325mg ASA.
btw, the product information sheet in my Cosopt box (dated Jun 2002) also
mentions that you should tell your doctor if you're taking large doses of ASA.
Oh, it's also on one dated 1999 that I just found.

I checked a drug interaction program(I'm a pharmacist), and I did not
see any interaction/problem with Cosopt & Aspirin.
