That's a spendy way to go. My copay is $10 for generic's. Some of those
sights charge $200 or more for the same thing. Pain meds at this point are
just a bandaid for my sometimes blinding headaches. The real fix is going to
be when I am done with the combo mombo. I've got to the point where I have
accepted the fact I'm going to have headaches till I'm done with treatment
and do the best I can to deal with them.
Some things I do for headaches:
ice pack over my eyes/forhead or on the back of my neck. then I'll take a
super hot shower, putting the stream on the back of my neck.
Lots of water. If your peeing yellow, your not drinking enough.
Bright sunlight just f.cks me up. If I've been outside for a while I'll get
a real screamer going. Laying down, drawing the curtains and putting a damp
wash cloth over my eyes gives me instant relief. But going around
blindfolded all day really isn't an option.
Avoiding noise and chatty people is helpful too.
So basicly I like to be in a quiet, dark place alone most of the time. A
nice cave in the hills would be good!!!! hahahaahahahahaa
NSAID's don't really do much for me at this point. I get 60 10/325 norco's a
month, but those, while strong, just aren't getting it any more. I just
want to finish treatment and be done with all of it.
In the beginning I was told by the nurse that while they will oversee the
treatment, they would not treat pain and I had to go to my primary doc. I
cornered my BCLD (Big Chief Liver Doc) on that, he quiet matter of fact said
he had no problem with giving me two a day.
It's all a bunch of politics to me.
I look forward to not needing pain/nausea/beta blockers/anxiety meds
anymore. May 30th is my last shot.
