I have been on this for a month and after 3 weeks I noted that I have what I
believe to be a sinus infection. However, in clinical trials reports of
flu-like symptoms or cold were common adverse effects of Xalatan. Since my
infection is confined solely to the sinuses (unusual for me), I wonder if
this is a side effect of the Xalatan after a month's administration?

Hard to know for sure...you might talk with your doc about stopping
it, seeing if your symptoms improve, and then rechallenging you with
the same drug...if the symptoms return, you will have your answer.
