Hi,
If you don't have optic nerve damage, you don't have glaucoma, as I
learned. But the expert in this damage is a glaucoma specialist. I
would see one as soon as possible. General opthalmologists know almost
nothing about glaucoma, as far as I could verify.
Good luck.

While it is true that you must have optic nerve damage to have
glaucoma (all others I call glaucoma suspects, which is essentially
the same as ocular hypertension), it is NOT true that general
ophthalmologist know nothing about glaucoma. Keep in mind that 20-30%
of all patients in a general ophthalmologist's office are there for
management of glaucoma. You can't possibly see that amount of
glaucoma and know nothing about it. Yes, I personally would rather
see a glaucoma specialist, but not everyone has that luxury depending
upon where you live.

Dear highly estimated Rick,
Maybe I have bad luck with them, or when I read their definitions
about the disease in their website. :))
