Hi everyone

This is the first time I have written to the newsgroup but do read the posts
regularly.  I have a query.  I've had epilepsy for 46yrs and at present take
Tegretol Retard CR 800mg, Lamitcal (Lamotrigine) 300mg and phenobarbitone
90mg daily.  My blood tests are done by my doctor as I don't see a
specialist and the last blood test was approx 2003.  My doctor says you can
only have blood tests for phenobaritone. I am going through the menopause
and would like to know how they check you have the right dosage of Tegretol
and Latramgine.
Any help would be most appreciated.

I am on Tegretol CR and every few months, I have to go for a blood test
before my morning dose to check my levels.
