Well maybe it's just a mixture of the gabapentin with the dilantin and
topiramate that's doing it. I just know that they seem to have started
since I started the gabapentin (I am taking 2700mg daily along with
300mg dilantin and 400 mg of topiramate).
Are you getting any side effects from the medication? I am getting
flashes like someone is walking past the side of me fast along with
numbness of parts of my body like they are "asleep". The numbness
changes...I am really not sure if that is not the only side effects or
not being that my memory is one of the things that has been affected by
the whole epilepsy ordeal :)
And even though I don't know your wife, saying she "may" disapprove is
putting it lightly. I bet ya, try a busty blonde and you'll get more
than a nose bleed!! :)
(or should I say get "less"~~~ just ask any divorce lawyer :)~~~)!!!!
thanks,

Lol. Well I don't get any obvious side effects from the gabapentin, though
when I first went on it, the level was raised too rapidly and I got so dizzy
I ended up collapsing. Reducing the dose and then putting it back up more
slowly seemed to solve that problem. Any other effects...well I'm on
gabapentin, tegretol, epilim and clobazam.....I'd never know which one was
causing the effects.
But I don't seem to have any effects from any of them that I can
tell...apart from the usual abysmally poor short term memory (Despite the
doctors and psychologists assuring me it is perfectly fine - if anything,
better than normal. Just shows how accurate their tests are....obviously
don't relate to real life).
Cheers from sunny New Zealand
Darryl.
